Terms of Sale and Use for Revit Family Files and Online Courses

Seller/Owner: 4 Ideal Design LLC (“4iD”)
General Terms
By purchasing and using any digital products, including Revit Families and online courses, provided by 4 Ideal Design LLC (“4iD”), the Purchaser/User agrees to the following terms and conditions outlined in this document. These terms apply to all products and services unless specifically stated otherwise.
Revit Families Terms of Sale and Use
1. Ownership and Intellectual Property Rights
All Revit Families and associated content sold or provided by 4 Ideal Design LLC (“4iD”) are proprietary intellectual property. By purchasing and downloading these files, the Purchaser acknowledges and agrees that 4iD retains all ownership and intellectual property rights. The Purchaser is granted the right to use these files in accordance with the terms outlined in this agreement.
2. Permitted Use
- These Revit Families are provided for use exclusively by the Purchasing Firm (“Purchaser”).
- The files may be embedded into the Purchaser’s Revit project files, templates, and other internal project deliverables required for the firm’s professional services.
- The files may be stored on the firm’s internal servers or secure shared folders, accessible only by employees of the firm.
- The content may be modified or customized by the firm for internal use on their own projects.
3. Prohibited Use
The Purchaser may not:
- Provide access to, share, distribute, or transfer the Revit Families (original or modified versions) to any third parties, including but not limited to consultants, subcontractors, clients, or partner firms, without the prior written consent of 4iD.
- Use, sell, license, sublicense, or otherwise make these Revit Families available as stand-alone products or as part of any external content library for distribution or resale.
- Upload or host these files on public platforms, marketplaces, or file-sharing sites.
Note: Any firm or individual found using these families without having purchased the rights directly from 4iD will be considered in violation of copyright laws and intellectual property protections. 4iD reserves the right to pursue all legal remedies, including injunctive relief, damages, and recovery of legal fees.
4. Limitation of Liability
4iD provides all Revit Families “as-is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. 4iD makes no guarantees regarding the performance, compatibility, or fitness for a particular purpose of these files.
In no event will 4iD be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the provided content.
5. Indemnification
The Purchaser agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 4iD, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to:
- The use or misuse of the Revit Families by the Purchaser, its employees, or contractors.
- Any violation of these terms by the Purchaser or its employees.
6. No Refund Policy
Due to the digital nature of the product, all sales are final. No refunds, exchanges, or credits will be provided once the Revit Families have been purchased and downloaded.
Purchasers are encouraged to review all available product information before completing the purchase.
7. Version Control and Updates
4iD may, at its discretion, issue updated versions of Revit Families in the following cases:
- Corrections to any functionality that does not perform as designed by 4iD. These updates will be provided at no additional cost to the Purchaser.
- Optimizations or improvements discovered by 4iD that enhance the performance or quality of existing families.
- Any new features, enhancements, or expanded functionality may be offered as a separate purchase or for an additional fee.
Purchasers are responsible for ensuring they have downloaded and implemented the latest version provided by 4iD when applicable.
Online Course Terms of Sale and Use
1. Ownership and Intellectual Property Rights
All course content, materials, videos, and associated resources provided by 4 Ideal Design LLC (“4iD”) remain the sole intellectual property of 4iD. By purchasing a course, the User is granted a limited, non-transferable right to access and view the content for personal use only, subject to these terms.
2. Permitted Use
- Course access is provided to a single individual only (the registered User).
- The User may access and view the course materials for personal education and professional development.
- The User may download and use any provided resources in connection with their learning experience.
3. Prohibited Use
The User may not:
- Share, distribute, or provide access to their course login credentials to any other individual or entity.
- Allow more than one individual to access the course using a single User account.
- Reproduce, distribute, modify, or publicly display any part of the course materials for any purpose without express written consent from 4iD.
- Use course materials to create derivative works or training programs for commercial purposes.
Note: Unauthorized sharing or distribution of course materials or login credentials will result in the immediate termination of access without a refund. 4iD reserves the right to pursue all legal remedies for copyright infringement.
4. No Refund Policy
All course sales are final. No refunds, exchanges, or credits will be issued once access has been granted. Users are encouraged to review all course details prior to purchase.
5. Access Duration and Updates
- Course access is provided for a limited period from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated.
- 4iD may, at its discretion, update or enhance course materials. Access to updated content is provided during the active access period.
Governing Law
These Terms of Sale and Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Fairfax County, Virginia.
Entire Agreement
These terms constitute the full and entire understanding between 4iD and the Purchaser/User regarding the sale and use of Revit Families and Online Courses. No other agreements, representations, or warranties, written or oral, shall be binding unless signed in writing by both parties.
